Books and tea at AntiTeasis

I, together with my roommate Queeya and her friend Inoj went back to Maginhawa last Friday to spend the first day of our long weekend. Maginhawa is in Quezon City and we live in Pasay City. Isn’t it strange how far we can go for the sake of eating? Haha!

We then discovered a Tea Room called ANTITEASIS located at 154 Maginhawa St, Sikatuna Village. As a certified coffee lover, tea rooms don’t sound appealing at all. What caught our attention was its whole interior and very unique concept. Artsy? Definitely!

Aside from.. well, being a tea room, AntiTeasis is also a mini library slash sanctuary combined into one. I love the idea of using pillows instead of chairs. It also has a mini art gallery because of the photos framed on the wall. Actually– the whole place is a beautiful art creation!
I got excited with the variety of books they have. Unfortunately, I only found one biography book but it was definitely a good read. The book was Tina Fey’s autobiography. They have lots of novels, fiction and books about interior design. Apart from that, my elementary self was happy because of Sweet Valley series displayed on their shelf.

Since we just came from Cool Beans (that I have to blog too), we just ordered tea and enjoyed some “me time”. The crew showed us the menu from teas in tea bags and tea leaves, bagels and mini donuts. I ordered Wild Cherries (P100.00 only) and literally don’t have any idea of what it was. I got it because the staff said it’s one of their specialties.

A photo of my wild cherries with honey. How I love the container! After giving our orders, the staff told us to wait for another 7 minutes before drinking the tea. It’s a wonderful experience. Yes, an experience because I don’t really drink tea. I like it with lots of honey though 🙂

One thing I regret is not ordering their mini donuts. After our tea night, I immediately looked for their Facebook and Instagram page and saw this photo…

Now.. I’m really craving for donuts! Lol.
AntiTeasis is a good place for friends but personally, I would prefer going there alone– it’s too perfect for my me time! If only our apartment is near or is in Maginhawa, expect to see me in AntiTeasis almost everyday.
