Chasing waterfalls at Hinulugang taktak

My roommate (or should I say ex-roommate lol) were supposed to go to Mt. Pinatubo as my last out of town trip in the Philippines. But maybe, the odds were not in our favor as our trip got cancelled on the eleventh hour due to bad weather condition. We opted to go to Antipolo because it is the quickest place to visit considering of also having a low budget. We then first visited the famous Hinulugang Taktak located at Taktak road.

Hinulugang Taktak is a waterfall which has been designated as a National Park by the local government. It is now considered as one of the two famous tourist spot in Antipolo, next to Antipolo Cathedral. So if you are planning to go to Antipolo, this destination must be on your list.

The place is good for people who appreciate nature. There is no entrance free at Hinulugang Taktak. They also have a swimming pool and cottages which are best for picnics. Aside from that, they also have a groto and a wishing well. We went there by 12NN but we couldn’t feel the heat since the air was fresh and there were lots of trees surrounding the area.

I did fell in love with the waterfall. I just wish I can swim during that time lol. I’m not quite sure if you can ride a jeepney going to Hinulugang Taktak but we rode a tricycle from Circumferrencial Road which costs P40.00.
It was a fun trip considering of it being unplanned. We felt like we were certified wanderers during that time. Spontaneity at its finest, I must say!
