Basic make-up essentials

Of all the make-up brands and products that are present these days, it’s hard to keep up and buy all of them. Personally, I don’t have a complete make-up set. Why? Because first, it’s not too practical to buy lots of make-up especially if you won’t be using it on a regular basis. Second, I don’t have the money to buy everything! Lol. However, I believe that there are some things which we really need. With that being said, it won’t hurt to invest on something we can use everyday. So today, I’m going to share with you five beauty essentials, which I believe, we need to have on our kits.

1. Instant pore eraser

I always use an instant pore eraser before applying my make-up. This is a must have because it makes your face fresh even if you didn’t get enough sleep. Plus, it truly makes your face pore free and smoother. I am using Maybeline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser for a year now and I like how affordable and effective it is.
2. Foundation

If you’re like me who prefers a matte look rather than a dewy look, I think the NYX stay matte but not flat powder founder is your kind of foundation. I always have an oily skin and applying this not only helped me avoid having an oily face; it also makes my face look radiant and smoother.
3. Eyebrow pencil
Thou shall not forget your eyebrows! Filling your eyebrows make a whole lot of difference even if you wear less make up. One product I highly recommend is the NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour, which I already mentioned on my previous post. Another brand I suggest is the Smashbox Brow Tech Matte Pencil. This product is non-smudging and keeps your brows looking perfectly refined. It also has a brush on its other end for grooming and polishing.
4. Bronzer

Bronzer makes your face more natural and glowing. I dont use blush on a regular basis as I would like to keep my face light. Instead, I use my bronzer as a contour (dont get me wrong, I am not so good at contouring but practice makes perfect right?:p) I am currently using Pur Minerals Mineral Glow Bronzer. It’s a bit pricey but it works for me as it gives an accent and is oil free.
5. Red lipstick

This lip color is the go to lipstick of every girl, especially when they want to look good without exerting lots of effort in applying make up. In my case, I use red lipstick everyday that’s why I maintain my make up very light. When it comes to lipsticks, I like it a bit glossy and I think Clinique’s Pop Lip Colour + Primer is a great choice. It gives me a simple yet a classy and sophisticated look which I always want to achieve everyday.
