Winter beauty essentials

Winter has come and here in Alberta, Canada, we are dealing with a minus 30C almost everyday and 18 hours of no sun. Sound depressing isn’t it? Having a crappy weather will surely make your skin really dry so today, I am about to share with you some of my winter essentials to keep me moisturize for the next four months (or five!)
Body lotion is surely a must have this season. I highly recommend St. Ives’ Mineral Therapy 24 hour maximum moisture to restore your skin to its optimal moisture level. I’ve tried a few lotions in the past and most of them loses its effect after a few hours (even minutes!) This product though, last a little longer.
If you are into something scented on the other hand, The Body Shop Mango Body Butter would be your best pick. It hydrates your skin, making it soft and smooth. Plus, the exotic mango scent is so addicting. Feels kinda tropical too lol.
Our face will be needing extra care this season so make sure that it is always moisturized. I love using Korean skin care products and right now, I am liking Tony Moly’s I’m Real Aloe Mask Sheet. You can see its effect even on first use and the scent is pretty awesome too.
Lip balms are essential especially when you are prone to having cracked lips, just like me. I am currently using Nivea Hydro Care to keep my lips soft without making it greasy.
Even with a lip balm, there will be odd times when I still get cracked lips. I refrain by using lip stick cause it just irritates my lips even more but I don’t also want to look pale. So whenever that happens, lip shimmer is my go to. I love using Burt’s Bees Plum flavoured lip shimmer because it acts as my lip balm and lip stick at the same time. I also love the minty feeling it gives which I believe helps my cracked lips to heal.
Well it doesn’t really moisturize the skin but the crappy weather tends to give me muscle pain all the time. My fiance gave me this Kalaya Naturals Extra Strength Pain Rub which is made of herbal medicine that helps relieve pain in less than three minutes. It works perfectly for me that’s why I make sure I always have this on my purse everywhere I go.
So there goes my winter beauty essentials. Remember that our body needs more love this season so don’t forget to pamper yourselves. How about you? Do you have any winter must haves? Feel free to share it on the comment section below! Stay cozy 🙂

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging
to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability
and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a amazing
job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox.
    Exceptional Blog!
