Hello guys!! So I have been MIA for a few months and I do apologize for not updating my blog quite often. I have been so busy with all the wedding prep and with work, I haven’t been able to squeeze in the time to blog regularly and with that I sincerely apologize. To all my new followers and readers, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog and read my posts. It really means a lot 🙂 So.. this is the first blog I am ever going to write as Mrs. Scollon. Yes, I am a Mrs. now! Wedding is over. We had our wedding in a garden in St. Albert, Alberta last summer and it was the best day of our lives. We had a bohemian vintage themed wedding because, as you have seen in my previous posts, I am in love of everything boho and vintage, and I am so glad that my husband agreed to this as well lol. So now I am about to share with you some photos of our wedding and I hope you guys will like it as much as we do.
Our wedding is very simple. We had a small ceremony at a rose garden in St. Albert, and we are surrounded with family and close friends. We didn’t splurge to lots of decors since the place itself is already a beauty.
I seriously had a hard time looking for my bridesmaids dresses more than my own gown. Lol. All of our outfits (yes including my gown) are bought online. I bought my dress and veil at JJshouse and my bridesmaids at Boohoo. Floral crowns are too mainstream but I still want crowns for me and my bridesmaids, after all, that’s what being boho is about. I opted for a eucalyptus crown because it’s simple and it matches the whole outfit. For the flowers, I had a combination of yellow, orange and red which are basically fall flowers.
I was a little scared with the groomsmen’s outfits cause I haven’t had the chance to see it until the wedding. My husband’s got good taste 😉
Since rustic is too mainstream, we opted to have a hip and urban themed wedding photos 🙂
Our wedding reception was held at a penthouse in Holiday Inn, Downtown Edmonton. The decors are a combination of greens and fall colors. During the set up the day before, we had very pretty green garland for our head table. But then on the night of our wedding, my siblings and I came back and I noticed that it started to die. I was on a panic. We changed it into an artificial one which is still nice. For each tables, we had terrariums and below is a wood tile I saw at the Dollar Store. We also had white resin chairs to make it more appropriate to our theme.
It was indeed the best day of my life. Can’t believe I am somebody’s wife now 🙂
