My roommate (or should I say ex-roommate lol) were supposed to go to Mt. Pinatubo as my last out of town trip in the Philippines. But maybe, the odds were not in our favor as our trip got cancelled on the eleventh hour due to bad weather condition. We opted to go to Antipolo because it is the quickest place to visit considering of also having a low budget. We then first visited the famous Hinulugang Taktak located at Taktak road.

I miss travelling! Schedule’s pretty hectic and we’re migrating to Canada next month so a lot of things must be done. This made me sacrifice my upcoming trips but hopefully, my roommate and I can still pursue our Pinatubo trip before finally migrating.

In travelling, quality over quantity works most of the time. Believe it or not, whenever I travel with my roommate or some friends—my budget would only be just P3,000 (without airfare). Nothing more, nothing less. Despite of that limited budget, we still get to go to many places, eat a lot of food (I mean it when I say a lot) and still have savings afterwards. How did I do that? It’s pretty simple actually, and I have to thank the internet for that.

Still part of my throwback Hong Kong trip– I always enjoy going to amusement parks. In the Philippines, we have Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna and Star City in Pasay, Manila wherein rides are truly enjoyable.

Throwback to my first Hong Kong trip four years ago. This was a special trip because it was also my first time to go out of the country and the best thing was I got to spend it with my friends. We were just in our senior year in college and I was still 19 years old. Wow I guess time really went on so fast!

One thing I love about our company is our getaways! We always have one or two getaways every summer and one between August to November which is our Team Building. This year, our destination was in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. Laiya is known because of its beaches and since it’s near the Metro– my main concern was the place might be too crowded.

I was looking forward of hitting the beach ever since summer began. Finally, I got to play with the waves again last weekend with friends and new found friends. The plan was to go to Zambales to attend Summer Siren, a famous beach music festival in the Philippines. I’ve never been to Zambales before but based on what I’ve heard– the province is renowned for its beaches with waves good for surfing.

Reminiscing a beach trip I had with my friends, two years ago… a little chubbier and a little happier. Hihi. This was the first trip I had with them after we graduated college and also our first time to wear a swimsuit. Since, we wanted to have a little privacy; we went to an unknown island in Quezon province called Cagbalete Island. It took us almost 6 hours to reach the island from Cavite.

Now that it’s already summer in the Philippines, I can’t help but to reminisce my last trip to the beach. The heat is driving me crazy!
Last November, I went to Boracay with some of my former officemates. Boracay is a famous attraction in our country, mainly because of its crystal clear water and white sand. We stayed in the island for three days and two nights.
